I've been meaning to mention a driving trip that Marg and I took last fall which turned out to offer some of the most spectacular scenery we have seen, along with excellent roads, great national parks and park rangers,
reasonable prices for accommodation, food and fuel, and friendly people. And where was this amazing find? Dare I say it was in the grand ole US of A to the south?
We had never seen the Grand Canyon and decided that this was the year. We flew to Denver, rented a car and saw Yellowstone, Salt Lake City, Bryce & Zion National Parks, Grand Canyon north and south rim, Las Vegas, Sedona, Tucson, Tombstone, El Paso, Santa Fe, Palo Alto Canyon, Dodge City, Pikes' Peak and points in between.
I took many photos, most of which do not do justice to the scenery. (You will find photos and trip description at) http://www.cmrsj52.ca/usacanyons/ .
